ZTE of Boa Vista Island

The Zones Tourist Attractions (ZTE) of Boa Vista Island were created by Decree – Regulation No 7/94 of 23 May, the delimitations of the ZDTIs have subsequently been redefined under the Decree – Regulatory No 7/2007 of 19 March.

Thus, from the articulation of the two legal texts mentioned above we have:

A -Zones of Integral Tourism Development (ZDTI):

B – Reservation and Tourism Protection Zone (ZRPT):

The Reserve Crown and Tourist Protection Zone was declared a Coastal Crown of Boa Vista Island, comprised in an insular coastal strip of 1 km wide that completely surrounds the island, except for sections of the said strip belonging to the following areas already constituted:

– ZDTI of Chave;
– ZDTI of Morro de Areia;
– Santa Monica ZDTI / Lacation;
– Vila de Sal Rei, as the perimeter necessary for the urban expansion of the village between the northern boundary of ZDTI de Chave and the northern end of Praia da Cruz.

According to Decree – Regulation No. 7/94, of May 23, all the islanders of Boa Vista are included in this ZRPT.
